- Abstract
The article identifies key stakeholders vital to Japan's nation branding strategy. Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama has proposed three policies of his government toward nation branding which include the opening of the bureaucracy, nation, and the Japanese people's future. Export promotion measures can be improved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) through strategies that strengthen the country's national brand.
