The article compares the commitment of lawyer John Adams, Justice Robert Cooper and former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor in practicing the rule of law in the U.S. Adams is remarkable for his courage and commitment with his profession is his agreement to defend the British soldiers who were arrested on criminal charges for killing five civilians. These people may vary in philosophies and traits but they all believe in fair trial and equal protection.
