- Abstract
The article focuses on AIDS Vaccine for Asia Network (AVAN). It says that AVAN was formed in response to the urgent need for AIDS vaccines due to increasing spread of HIV and AIDS pandemic in Asia. It notes that one of the goals of AVAN is to increase AIDS vaccine development and to advocate governments' for political and financial support for AIDS vaccine research and development.
