- Title
World's Most Extraordinary Species Mapped for the First Time.
- Abstract
The article discusses the mapping of areas with high concentrations of evolutionarily distinct and globally endangered (EDGE) mammals and amphibians, such as Madagascar, Central America, and southern Africa, which conservationists such as Jonathan Baillie from the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) argue should be priorities for environmental protection. Rare species such as the black-and-white ruffed lemur are mentioned, as well as the effects of poaching, invasive species, and pollution.
