According to the author, stories enable humans to communicate their thoughts, dreams, and their mysteries across generations; and stories add a psychological and emotional dimension that allows humans to create ideas that are memorable. The author says that in medicine, doctor and patient are two people trying to complete a mystery story together, that finally leads to a diagnosis.
