- Abstract
The article presents a study on the use of the Taguchi method for fraction stir welding (FSW) of aluminum-magnesium alloy optimization. It explains that the Taguchi technique considers minimization of the variance of the characteristic of interest. It states that the study uses single-pass butt welds made in 5-mm thick plates of aluminum alloy using an FSW machine and a cylindrical taper column tool without threads. It adds that the Taguchi experiments of FSW on aluminum alloy were successful.
