- Abstract
The article discusses the depiction of music, gender and violence of rodeo jaripeo, or bull riding, Mexicans in the U.S.'s video recordings, films and culture. An overview of the Mexican music played in videos depicting jaripeo, including in regard to narrations of death in corridos and banda music, is provided.
