- Authors
Holland, Jeanne
- Abstract
The article critiques the film "Spider-Man 2" in light of the film's purported indirect references with the U.S. 9/11 terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Topics addressed include U.S. public opinion regarding former U.S. President George W. Bush, the notion of American exceptionalism, and the portrayal of the protagonist Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man.
