A literary criticism is presented of the play "Airways Inc.," by John Dos Passos. The author reflects on the depictions in the story of home ownership and technology that facilitates suburbanization. Topics discussed include the condemnation of suburban conformity and racial homogeneity, the myth of suburban prosperity, the influence of the aviation industry, and gender hierarchies.
