- Abstract
The supercritical fluid (SCF) solves the water problem as the technology does not require water as a medium for dyeing. This results to no wastage of water and ultimately no load on the effluent which leads to water pollution. The present study stress upon the usage of SCF technology for dyeing of polyester and cotton. The result were compared vis-à-vis conventional methodology with respect to its dyeing properties. The Part I of the work give details about the methodology adopted for dyeing in general and dyeing of cotton in particular.
