- Title
Church silenced by neighbour's noise complaint: religionism?
- Abstract
The article discusses the failure of the Immanuel International Christian Centre in lifting the noise prohibition imposed by the local council of Waltham Forest in London, England. The church lost in a court case appealed by Baha Uddin, a resident of Waltham, claiming that the noise from the church distracted his one-year-old daughter. Waltham Forest Magistrates Court demanded the church to pay 2,250 pounds costs and only permitted to play music for 20 minutes during Sunday.
