- Abstract
The article presents a study examining the role of ractopamine HCl that improved cardiac hypertrophy but not poor growth, metabolic inefficiency, or greater white blood cells associated with heat stress in concentrate-fed lambs. It discusses that Heat stress decreases livestock performance and well-being, causes metabolic dysfunction that decreases growth efficiency, and alters cardiovascular function.
