- Abstract
In order to effectively alleviate the autotoxicity of cotton stalk returned to field, the effects of embedded immobilization of cotton stalk decomposition-promoting inocula on cotton seedling growth were exploited using potting methods. The results showed that the plant height and dry weight were much significantly higher than those in the control treatment without inocula ( P <0. 01 ) when the applying dose of the immobilized cotton stalk decomposition-promoting inocula was 20—40 g/kg,especially the increasing range of plant height and dry weight reached 57. 21% and 61.54% respectively, when the applying dose was 40 g/kg. At the same time, the malondialdehyde ( MDA) content in the plants was significantly lower than that in the control (P < 0. 01). The chlorophyll content of the leaves treated with 20 g/kg immobilized inocula was 76. 37 mg/kg, which was significantly higher than the other treatments ( P <0. 01). The differences of soil chemical components in all treatments were further analyzed, and the results showed that the content of main allelochemicals in all the immobilized inocula treatments decreased to varying degrees. The contents presented the trend of first declining and later rising on the whole with the inocula dose increasing. In the treatment of 40 g/kg inocula, the contents of diphenylamine and dibutyl phthalate were dropped to 0 and 1.6% separately, while their contents in the control treatment were 17. 0% and 3.1% separately;the contents of diisobutyl phthalate and diisooctyl phthalate were 49. 5% and 1.2% separately, which dropped by 20. 3 and 6. 9 percentage points compared to the control treatment. The research proved that application of the immobilized cotton stalk decomposition-promoting inocula could relieve the stress on cotton plant, which kept the seedlings healthy, especially the applying dose of the inocula was a key factor.
