- Abstract
In this article, a generalized algorithm for curve and surface design has been presented. This algorithm is based on Ridge regression. The subdivision schemes generated by the proposed algorithm give less response to the outliers. The quality of proposed subdivision schemes are also better than the least squares based subdivision schemes. Moreover, least squares based subdivision schemes are the special case of our schemes.
