- Abstract
The article discusses studies on the populations of sterile and wild moths, whose interactions are critical to the success of the Okanagan Sterile Insect Release (SIR) program. Two teams presented models and analyses concerned primarily with how trap attributes, season, and topographical variables affect the counts of the moth populations. The article emphasizes how specific models were formulated to answer general questions while common approaches, novel features or effectiveness of the analyses are considered in answering the questions.
