- Abstract
This work aimed to evaluate the dependence of the spatial variability of flow rate between two drip irrigation systems on the time of use. Data were collected in two different locations in the state of Alagoas. The first system has a use time of 10 years. The second has only 4 months of use. Both models presented design flow rate of 1.55 L h-1, with spacing of 0.20 m between emitters, 2.00 m between rows and 14.00 m wide and long. The data were submitted to uniformity coefficient testing Christiansen (CUC) and the spatial dependence analysis by kriging, using the program GS+®. Both systems were classified as excellent for the Christiansen Uniformity Coefficient (CUC). The highest values of flow rate of the drip system new was found at a distance of 5.5 m from the start point in the Y-axis direction. Ranges from 0 to 5.5 m and 5.5 to 12 m, both, have a point in which there is a deficit of flow rate. The highest values for flow rate in the system emitters used were found at a distance of 11 m from the start point of the Y axis, where the uniformity was low in the ranges of 4 to 6 m, from 11 to 14 m and the 13 to 14 m. The exchange of the used systems must be performed to prevent a desuniform application profile of water and the waste of water, with a possible loss of production.
