- Abstract
The article discusses research being done on the molecular pathways of skeletal muscle glucose transport in response to mechanical stress. It references the study "Stretch-Stimulated Glucose Transport in Skeletal Muscle is Regulated by Rac1," by L. Sylow et al. in the 2015 issue of "The Journal of Physiology." The role of actin filament organization in glucose transport, phosphorylation of p21-activated protein kinase and latrunculin B depolymerizing agent are examined in this study.
