- Abstract
The article explores the incorporation of indigenous rights of nature concept into the collaborative management of the Colorado River Ecosystem. Topics discussed are constitutional and legislative recognition of the rights of nature in the cases of the Vilcabamba River in Ecuador and Whanganui River in New Zealand, grassroots movements' protection for natural resources, development of U.S. environmental law amid resistance, and dissenting opinions of justices in the case Sierra Club v. Morton.
