It states that with the emergence of social software, vendors are targeting publishers as media outlets and publishers have become some of the earliest adopters of social software technologies. It discusses the evolving marketplace of social software technology vendors. It discourses the different categories of vendors including the enterprise platform vendors, the social software suites, wiki software, blog software, white-label community services and public networks.
