- Abstract
The culture of evaluation is the result of redefining the role of the State in implementing post-1990 administrative reforms. The objective of the research was to discuss the interferences of the National Policy for the Evaluation of Basic Education in public schools, through ordinance no. 10, of January 8, 2021, which presents the new guidelines for the Basic Education Assessment System (SAEB). The methodology was based on a critical-reflexive perspective, through the qualitative approach and bibliographic and documentary research. The data showed that the implementation of the National Policy for the Evaluation of Basic Education causes impacts on the “ground” of the public school, since the evaluative culture holds education professionals responsible, having, as a primary dimension, the exposure of the school and its body through the results exposed by the SAEB.
