- Abstract
The term hemeroby, understood as the energetic and technological dependence for the landscapes maintenance, can be used as an indicator of urban environmental quality. In the city, where the energetic and technological dependence for its operation is high, it is expected that planning measures can contribute to reduce hemeroby, and, consequently, increase environmental quality. The objective of the research was to classify the landscapes in the Ribeirão dos Padilhas basin (Curitiba - PR), based on the land cover classified in court level, using the method proposed by Nucci, Ferreira and Valaski (2014) and according to the degrees of hemeroby proposed by Belem and Nucci (2011). The hemeroby classes identified and their respective occupation rates in the basin were: very low (11% - 3.67km2), low (16.3% - 5.26km2), medium (26.2% - 8.42km2), high (21.3% - 6.79km2) and very high (1.9% - 0.63km2). The open spaces add up to only 11% of the basin, therefore being composed of impermeable surfaces and low vegetation cover.
