- Abstract
This paper analyzes the actions of social organizations oriented to the deconstruction of hegemonic masculinities in Colombia, from theoretical elements of Gender Studies and Collective Action; the research was qualitative-interpretative, developing participant observation in five collective initiatives and semi-structured interviews with members and leaders of these spaces; the results describe the process of self-identification with a male- Otherness that distances from the hegemonic pattern, and it is pointed out that non-formal education, Popular Education, performative initiatives, political incidence and the creation of social networks, are the prevalent politicalmethodological strategies; the thematic axes are related to sexual and reproductive rights, violence against women, the resignification of masculine identity and the anti-militarist approach in which the political commitment goes from the transformation of microsocial practices towards the structural conditions implied.
