- Authors
Clark, Gregory T.
- Abstract
The article highlights Harley 2897, a 15th century French breviary, or prayer book, that was acquired by the British Museum for the British Library in London, England in 1753. It reports that the manuscript volumes were displayed at the Nijmegen exhibition in 2005, and that they showcase filigraine decoration and multi-colored embellishments. It also notes that the breviaries serve as a testimony for the high esteem of fifteenth-century French illumination which is guarded by new generations of painters.
