- Abstract
Determine the profile of patients with chronic venous ulcers in a basic health unit and to evaluate the applicability of inelastic compression therapy in the management of UVC. Exploratory, quantitative and retrospective study. Data were collected from medical records. 44 patients were analyzed, of these 20 wore Unna's boots. Men predominated (55%). The average age was 67.9 years for men and 71.6 years for women. The prevalent comorbidities were systemic arterial hypertension and Diabetes. Inelastic Compressive Therapy, through the Unna boot, can decisively contribute to the healing and healing of Chronic Venous Ulcers. The most prevalent comorbidity was systemic arterial hypertension followed by diabetes. Vasculogenic lesions of venous origin in our country and in the world, since they still cause a series of health problems and a direct interference in people's quality of life.
