- Title
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma: R-GDP LESS TOXIC THAN R-DHAP IN RELAPSED/REFRACTORY NHL.
- Authors
Stewart, Douglas
- Abstract
The article discusses a comparative study on the efficacy of gemcitabine, dexamethasone, cisplatin (GDP) and dexamethasone, cytarabine, cisplatin (DHAP) chemotherapy prior to autologous stem cell transplantation for non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL). The efficacy of treatment with GDP was established in a Phase II study leading to the hypothesis that GDP is as effective as and less toxic than DHAP. In addition, GDP is associated with better quality of life (QoL) and lower resource utilization.
