- Abstract
The article discusses third generation of the coupled Chemistry-Climate Model (CCM) called SOCAL (Studies of Solar Climate Ozone Links). It is stated that the two most important modifications in this SOCOL in comparison to its predecessors are updation of the middle atmosphere GCM MA-ECHAM4 and calculation of advection of chemical trace species by the flux-form semi-Lagrangian scheme instead of the hybrid scheme.
