- Abstract
This section offers news briefs on health and medical policy in the U.S. as of July 15, 2010. The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) together with two other associations called for the Congress to replace the sustainable growth rate (SGR) with a payment formula that reflects the work performed by physicians more accurately. A survey found that 20% of high school students have taken prescription drugs without a prescription. The U.S. administration disclosed investments for training of primary care physicians.
