Drug addiction is a disease that completely ruins the addicted young pupils by affecting their brain and behavior. Teachers are the backbone of a society. Therefore, it is of utmost essential to measure the knowledge, attitude, and practice of drug addiction among B. Ed. students since they are going to be the teachers in the future. The main aim of this study is to assess the quality of items for preparation of a standardized tool (Questionnaire) on knowledge, attitude, and practice of B. Ed. students on drug addiction. In order to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice regarding drug addiction, a questionnaire having predetermined objectives was applied on fifty B. Ed. students of Murshidabad district. The Difficulty Index and Discrimination Index of each item were calculated and the items were accepted, modified, or rejected on the basis of these indexes. A test-retest method between fifteen days gap was also administered to determine the reliability of this tool. Pearson's correlation coefficient between the two tests scores justified the reliability of the questionnaire. Finally, it has been concluded that item analysis and item reliability play a significant role in constructing questionnaires.
