- Abstract
The article focuses on the University of Maryland (UMD), College Park in April 2014, noting that UMD used an Undergraduate Science Education Program grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to create the Host-Pathogen Interactions Teaching Group which fosters curriculum development. The article notes that the group's curriculum and professional development initiatives have been combined in UMD's Teaching and Learning Center. It also notes faculty members Gili Marbach-Ad and Ann Smith.
