- Abstract
The compounds catena-(μ-CrO4-O,O')[Zn(L)]10H2O (1) and [{Zn(L)}2(μ-ZZO4)2].8Z2O (2), where L is 3,14-dimethyl-2,6,13,17-tetraazatricyclo[14,4,01.18,07.12]docosane have been synthesized and structurally characterized. 1 crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group PI, a=10.037(1)Å, 6=11.594(2)Å, c=13.420(2)Å, α= 113.72(2)°, β= 100.27(1)°, γ=91.50(1)°, F=1398.5(4)Å3, Z= 1, R=0.034, Rw=0.058. The coordination geometry about the Zn(II) ions is an axially elongated octahedral with the secondary amines of the macrocycle and two oxygen atoms of [CrO4]2-. 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/n, a=14.590(4)Å, 6=21.151(4)Å, c=19.131(6)Å, β=102.01(3)°, F=5774(2)Å3, Z=4, R=0.054, Rw=0.113. The coordination environment around Zn(2) atom is an axially elongated octahedral with secondary amines of the macrocycle and two oxygen atoms of [MoO4]2-, while Zn(I) atom is a distorted square pyramid with the molybudate oxygen atom in the axial position.
