The article analyzes the Spanish law of 1979 on organ transplantation. The author states that the said law established the principle of presumed consent in which every individual is presumed to be an organ donor. It also notes that the such law is considerate of the mindset of the Spanish society as well as family dynamics and societally shared values of solidarity.
