- Abstract
The article presents a study which addressed issues related to the development of trade unionism and post-war working class politics in Great Britain and its implication in Canada. It offers an analysis on the place assigned to workplace trade unionism within the structure of industrial relations in Britain. A brief discussion on the economic conditions of the early 1960s, and the responses of the Labour Governments of Harold Wilson is cited. It also explores the period after the Donovan Report.
