- Abstract
In this study, a bibliometric analysis of academic studies on 21st century skills in the field of education was conducted. Case study, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The data of the research were obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database. As a result of the search, 1207 publications covering a 22-year time period were found in WoS. When these studies were limited to the "education/educational research" category, the number of publications was reduced to 810 studies. Bibliometric data analysis of 810 studies examined, citation analysis and data visualization were performed via VOSviewer program. The year of publication, journal, journal indexes, subject, method, data analysis techniques, data collection sources, data collection tools, distribution of keywords, distribution of the studies examined within the scope of this research, according to the countries and continents are included. It is expected that this study will contribute to similar studies in the field by determining a general framework on the subject and revealing the trends of studies on 21st century skills.
