- Abstract
The article offers information on a study which deals with treatment of perforated foregut ulcers by omental patching (OP) or primary closure. It mentions that OP does not correct the underlying disease process which causes foregut perforation. It presents information on causes of stomach ulceration which involves malignancy, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) abuse, H. pylori infection, splanchnic vascular insufficiency and gastric mucosal vasoconstriction.
