- Abstract
The article discusses an Athapaskan beaded camera case made by a member of the Slavey tribe, a Métis tribe from the Northwest Territories of Canada, around the 1930s. The material of the case is tanned skin, possibly from a moose, cotton thread, and beads, and the interior is lined with cotton cloth. The floral patterns of the Athapaskan beadwork, the provenance of the bag, and the Great Slave Lake Mackenzie River beading style are described.
