- Abstract
The article presents the role of the laws and policies of the criminal justice system against the gender-based violence. Topics discussed incarceration, experiences of women before and after detention and laws limiting the access to public assistance of the convicted felons. It also discusses the governmental responsibilities of the human right programs in preventing the gender-based violence.
