- Title
Salmonella outbreak in cattle associated with two cases of human infection.
- Abstract
The article presents several issues discussed in the Veterinary Laboratories Agency's disease surveillance report for England and Wales in June 2007. An outbreak of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis among bull calves in Sutton Bonington is being investigated. A veterinarian and a farmer's son in Penrith developed a pustular dermatitis and severe gastrointestinal symptoms secondary to Salmonella Enteritidis infection. Swine dysentery was considered the cause of severe scour in Bury St. Edmunds.
