- Abstract
The appearance of wide area measurement system provides a new idea for the design of power system protection. For the wide area adaptive backup protection, the fault element location and fault section definition in power grid are the preconditions of fixed value modification of relative backup protection. In this paper, the research mainly serves the wide area adaptive backup protection system, using the PMU real-time measurement information in wide area measurement system, considering the influence of random disturbance caused by the access of new energy sources to the power system and information missing, we will provide accurate and reliable BDA fault detection scheme in complex power systems.
