- Authors
Martorano, Annantonia
- Abstract
The article aims to present the constituent elements of a project in progress that aims to investigate the archival sources available from the mid-eighteenth century to the mid-twentieth century, to retrace the development of agriculture and identify and analyze the cultivation techniques adopted in the past, before the development of intensive cereal growing. The sounding of archival documentation represents the founding element of the research which, with a view to interdisciplinarity, wants to contribute to identifying the techniques and timing of tillage and fertilization of the soil, the crops adopted and the rotations applied in order to report information retrieved from documents to agronomic production results and soil and climate reports.
