- Title
Electric Cable Flame Propagation Testing Can Lead to Confusion.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the application of cable flame retardance standards written by British Standards (BS), and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for test methods. It examines if the electric cables are self-extinguishing. It cites Mineral Insulated Cable Co., a manufacturers of mineral insulated heating, thermoelectric & fireproof wiring cables that apply BS, and IEC to determine if the test methods offer the implied level of flame retardance performance when used in buildings.
