- Abstract
The article presents a study that correlates receptor status, differences and age in treatment modalities African American (AA) women diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. The study reveals that there was no difference in age, marital status and race in the patients that rejected radiation therapy or chemotherapy versus majority of patients receiving standard care. It shows that stage III breast cancers in AA women have discrete clinical characteristics.
