- Title
Inter-industry contagion between UK life insurers and UK banks: an event study.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the event study concerning inter-industry contagion between Great Britain life insurers and banks. Correlations between equity price movements of Great Britain banks and life insurers have increased markedly over the past decade, due to banks' increased involvement in the life insurance market. The study used equity prices as a tool to gauge the degree of inter-industry contagion from the life insurance sector to the banking sector in Great Britain.
