- Abstract
The article focuses on the release of the booklet "Children are Unbeatable," by the Office of the Children's Commissioner, with support by the United Nation's International Children's Emergency Fund in New Zealand. The book was written by family counselor Rhonda Pritchard and lists the reasons of raising children. The booklet expands on each reasons and challenges arguments if favor of hitting children and provides suggestions on positive discipline and sets out principles and practices that encourage good behavior. Children's Commissioner Cindy Kiro spoke against physical punishment as a long held tradition in the society.
