- Abstract
This article offers insights about the accident at the Sago mine in Upshur County, West Virginia. At the morning of January 2, 2006, an explosion damaged a section of Sago No. 1. Following the incident, media people have gone to the area like an eyewitness using high-technology gadgetry. They were eager for a chance to capture candid and raw emotions in action. Several media myth-making examples have occurred in connection to the Sago mining incident. One of which was that Sago Baptist Church was representde as the epicenter of local faith.
