- Abstract
The article focuses on the development of solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer to boost the performance and storage capability of lithium-ion batteries. The growing popularity of lithium-ion batteries due to its variety of uses from cell phones to automobiles is discussed. However, the lack of energy storage capacity and the possibility of dendrite formation in such batteries have prompted scientists to provide SEI as protective layer and minimize dendrite formation.
