- Title
Cotton body decides to quit trading altogether.
- Abstract
The article reports on the resolution passed by the Cotton Association of India (CAI), earlier known as the East India Cotton Association, for it to be derecognised as a trading body, following the growth of an online platform for futures trading in cotton, blocking public interest in the CAI model. Topics include the required Ministry of Consumer Affairs' permission for de-recognition, an overview of CAI's membership, and its role in the development and promotion of cotton in the country.
