- Abstract
This article presents information regarding a post-hoc comparison of the efficiency of a psychoeducational intervention for melanoma patients delivered in group versus individual formats. All patients reported moderate to high levels of psychological distress at baseline comparable to other cancer patients. Baseline scores for both studies showed similar values with the intervention patients showing higher distress. Both the individual intervention and the group intervention patients showed clinically significant decreases in their Total Mood Disturbance by one year.
