- Title
Behavioral syndromes: carryover effects, false discovery rates, and a priori hypotheses.
- Authors
Dochtermann, Ned A.
- Abstract
The article focuses on behavioral syndrome research, which is an active field of behavioral ecology. In the study by Logue and his colleagues, he examined the behavioral syndrome of hissing cockroaches and used the concept on how behaviors are assayed to affect behavior responses and how evaluation of behaviors can result in risk that correlations are statistical artifacts. According to the author, possible behavioral correlations testing is not the only way to study behavioral syndromes.
