- Abstract
The article looks at the prevalence of alcohol use and binge drinking among women of childbearing age in the U.S. between 2006 and 2010. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that 51.5 percent of nonpregnant women used alcohol, while 7.6 percent of pregnant women consumed alcohol. It also discovered that binge drinking is more frequent and intensified among unmarried women. CDC revealed that binge drinking is inversely related to education.
