THE INTERSECTION OF RACE AND CLASS IN U.S. IMMIGRATION LAW AND ENFORCEMENT.
- Authors
Johnson, Kevin R.
- Abstract
The article discusses the intersection of race and class in the operation of the U.S. immigration law. It states that poor and working noncitizens of color have experienced the harsh treatment of immigration enforcement in the state. It notes that the state's immigration law reflects the class and racial hierarchies in the American society. It suggests that the U.S. immigration laws should promote equality in its immigration enforcement measures.
